Mark Camilleri
Special Advisor – European Union – Business Council of Canada
Based in Brussels, Mark provides advice to the Council on European activities and issues of relevance to Canadian companies.
Mark is lawyer with over 20 years of corporate, commercial and regulatory law experience in the European Union, Canada and the United Kingdom. He is the founder and principal of Camilleri Law, a Brussels-based EU regulatory law firm. He is also the co-founder and President of the Canada EU Trade and Investment Association in Brussels, a not-for-profit organization aimed at advancing the Canada-EU economic and trade relationship.
He is a full member of the Brussels (Belgium/EU), Ontario (Canada) and England (United Kingdom) bars. He is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E) and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. From 2017-2022 he taught at the Faculty of Law at KU Leuven.
Mark holds an LL.M. in EU law from KU Leuven, an LL.B./MBA from Dalhousie University and a B.A. in international relations from the University of Toronto.
