KIM CHANDLER MMus BMusEd
Kim Chandler is one of the UK’s top session singers and industry vocal coaches. She runs a busy private studio in Marbella (Spain) and London where she coaches an elite worldwide clientele of professional singers, signed artists, artists in development and other vocal coaches.
She has coached many high-profile artists such as Courtney Love, Paloma Faith, Jess Glynne and Birdy, worked as a vocal coach for two audition tours of “The Voice UK”. Kim is regularly invited to run master classes, workshops & teacher training events in the UK and abroad. She also is regular presenter at national & international voice conferences, including being a keynote speaker at a national voice conference in Australia in 2010.
In the academic world, Kim has been President of the British Voice Association and served two terms as a Director. She was a Principal/Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Singing at Leeds College of Music and London College of Music respectively. Kim was the Head of Vocals at the UK’s first contemporary vocal college VOCALTECH (now BIMM London). She has written many articles for Voice Council Magazine, chapters in “The Ultimate Guide To Singing” and “Teaching Singing in the 21st Century” and is the creator of the popular “Funky ‘n Fun” vocal exercise series (www.funkynfun.com).
As a performer, Kim has well over two decades of high-end performing experience in both live performance and studio singing. Aside from her voice being heard on films, albums and thousands of jingles worldwide, she has also sung with artists such as The Bee Gees, Natalie Cole, Michael McDonald, Bjork, Michael Bolton and Susan Boyle, in addition to having performed at some of London’s most iconic locations such as the Royal Albert Hall, Downing Street, Wembley Arena & Stadium, the O2 Arena and Buckingham Palace (www.kimchandler.com).
