Sheri Sanders
Today I’m talking to Sheri Sanders. Sheri burst onto the Broadway scene as THE rock music repertoire coach with the incredibly successful release of her book Rock the Audition: How to Prepare for and Get Cast in Rock Musicals. She is bridging the gap between the worlds of popular music and theatre as rock continues to dominate Broadway. Sanders’ performance techniques have brought her students not only to tons of on and off Broadway shows, but also to television shows like The Voice, X Factor, American Idol, and The Glee Project.
You can see Sheri in person at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Conference in Chicago, July 8-12, where she’ll be presenting alongside Melissa Cross and Mary Saunders-Barton, and also at the CCM Institute at Shenandoah University, July 16-24. I highly recommend her website rock-the-audition.com, which is an incredible multi-media resource that helps singers and teachers prepare for rock-pop auditions in musicals.
